    Dr. Alberto Giaretta has various research interests on the topics of cybersecurity, the Internet of Things (IoT), the intersection between robotics, AI, and cybersecurity, declarative access control (AC), and bio-inspired nanonetworks. He has been author and co-author of more than 20 peer-reviewed papers published on prestigious venues, including IEEE Transactions on Information Forensics and Security (TIFS), Journal of Ambient Intelligence and Humanized Computing (JAIHC), IEEE Transactions on Emerging Topics in Computing (TETC-CS), Elsevier Computer Networks (ComNet), and Elsevier Computer Communications (ComCom). One of his works, which investigates the challenges of storing digital information inside bacteria DNA, has been covered by the MIT Technology Review magazine
